Icemaker Installation is Made Easy with an Icemaker Installation Kit from Frigidaire

You love your new refrigerator, but you still don’t have the icemaker installed. Maybe you just don’t feel like having an unlimited amount of ice at the push of a button, maybe you don’t want to stop using ice cube trays, but if you haven’t installed your refrigerator’s icemaker because you think the installation process is too difficult, Frigidaire has the solution for you. Installing your icemaker is simple when you use a icemaker installation kit from Frigidaire!

This icemaker installation kit comes with everything you need to hook your refrigerator’s icemaker up to the waterline, including 20 feet of ¼-inch plumber’s grade copper tubing, an adjustable saddle valve, and two ¼-inch compression adapters. Follow these simple instructions, and you’ll have your icemaker installed in no time!

  1. Carefully pull the refrigerator out away from the wall. Locate the fitting that the copper tubing connects to on the back of your refrigerator
  2. Remove the copper tubing from the icemaker installation kit, and using a compression adapter that came with the kit, connect the copper tubing to the back of the icemaker.
  3. Next, connect the copper tubing to the waterline, using the adjustable saddle valve that came with your installation kit. You can usually use the waterline connection located under your kitchen sink. Depending on how you run the copper tubing to the waterline, you may need to drill holes to feed the tubing through to the waterline.
  4. Use the directions that were included in your icemaker installation kit to connect the saddle valve to the waterline.
  5. The last step is to connect the saddle valve to the copper tubing, located in the back of the icemaker, using the second compression adapter.
  6. Check and make sure all connections are secured tightly, turn on the waterline and check the icemaker for leaks. If there are no leaks, you’re finished and should have ice within a few hours!

This Frigidaire universal icemaker installation kit is compatible with most refrigerator brands. Another benefit of our installation kit is that there is no soldering involved, all of our connections are solderless! You can have fresh tasting ice cubes with the push of a button after installing your icemaker with a icemaker installation kit from Frigidaire-Store.com.
