Frigidaire Oven Elements: Pay Attention To Your Range

If you own an electric cook top, you already know how it takes time and maintenance in order to be sure that it’s working at its best.  Electric heating elements and stove drip pans tend to get beat up pretty quickly, especially if you’re a frequent cook. If you’re the type of gourmet who uses your Frigidaire oven elements and drip pans every day – or every other day – you’ll want to check out some of our tips to help you improve the lifespan and performance of your range:

1.       Firstly, when it comes to Frigidaire oven elements and stove heating elements, it’s important to check up on them from time to time to ensure that they’re working at their best. To do this, simply turn your oven element up on high and pay attention to the colors it glows as it heats up. If it glows red evenly, then you know that it’s functioning at its best. If it’s not glowing evenly or if there are dark spots on the burner, then you know it’s time to replace the oven or range element.

2.       To replace your range burners, visit the selection of Frigidaire oven elements in our online store and select the size that fits your make and model of range. We carry Frigidaire heating elements that fit Frigidaire, Electrolux, Admiral, Amana, Brown, Caloric, Frigidaire, Gibson, Hardwick, Jenn Air, Kelvinator, Kitchen Aid, Magic Chef, Maytag, Tappan, Whirlpool, White-Westinghouse, GE, Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models of range.  Once you have the right Frigidaire oven element, install it and test it.

3.       Maintaining a new burner or an existing one is easy. Remember to keep them clean and avoid getting the electrical connections wet. Do not submerge electric elements in water and always make sure that the element is turned off and cool before removing it for cleaning.

4.       Checking up on your range isn’t just limited to burners. You should also be checking your drip pans too. If you notice that your cooktop gets a lot of use, those drip pans are sure to be getting just as much abuse! Check your stove drip pans at least every week or ideally, after every time you use your stove. Make sure that the stove pans are clean and that they’re no burnt on food or debris that could cause a fire hazard or damage to the drip pan.

5.       Cleaning your stove drip pans is a cinch. Drop your stove pans into a pot of boiling water or use a mild cleaning solution, vinegar, or a baking soda paste to scrub away the grime. If the stove pans are old, rusting, or too damaged to get cleaned up, you can find replacement stove drip pans in our selection of Frigidaire oven and stove parts
