The blog is authored by Jesse and based out of San Francisco, and expounds on topics like home and professional beer brewing, restaurants, cooking, and more. Beer and Nosh is here to share their Pumpkin Pancakes made with Oktoberfest Beer recipe with us, and what an absolutely delectable pairing it is! Pumpkin Pancakes made with Oktoberfest Beer Ingredients: "Dry" team: 1 1/2 cups AP Flour 3 tablespoons sugar 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt Cinnamon & nutmeg to taste "Wet" team: 6 oz Beer 3 tablespoons melted butter 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 can pumpkin 1/4 cup heavy cream ~1/2 cup milk (if needed to thin batter, or more beer) Directions: Combine the wet team and dry team separately, then bring together using as little stirring as possible. I found that these needed to be cooked a little lower, and turned when the tops are still aren’t set yet. The resulting pancake is slightly cakier than usual – but very rich from the pumpkin mash. Of course, these rich pumpkin discs of joy needed a little something extra to put it over the top. I whipped some cream, and then flavored it with a dash of vanilla extract, a few shots of bourbon and a bit of maple syrup to sweeten the whole thing. |
