A BBQ Grill Rotisserie Recipe You Can’t Miss!

There’s nothing better than BBQ chicken that’s moist, tender, and flavorful on a summer evening. But, if you’re looking to get great results, you need a BBQ grill rotisserie to make it happen. Trust us – there’s a big difference between slowly roasted chicken and grilled chicken and if you want superior flavor, you have to take the time and give your chicken the rotisserie treatment. If you want to have an unforgettable summertime dinner, then fire up your BBQ grill rotisserie and try out this amazing chicken recipe.



To make this recipe, you’ll need:



One 5 lb. roasting chicken



¼ cup molasses

½ cup soy sauce

½ cup ketchup

¼ cup sherry

1 teaspoon garlic powder

A pinch of ginger

Salt and pepper, to taste

A BBQ grill rotisserie

BBQ gloves

Small sauce pan

Ties, to truss the chicken

A BBQ brush

A drip pan



First, preheat your grill. Then, wash the chicken thoroughly with cold water. Remove the giblets and toss or use to make gravy. Then, sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper, taking time to toss some salt and pepper into the chicken cavity. Then, arrange your chicken on your BBQ grill rotisserie and truss the chicken so that the legs and wings are kept close to the body. Place the chicken into your grill and place the drip pan underneath it to prevent any flare ups. Roast the chicken for 1 hour.



Then, in a small saucepan, combine the molasses, soy sauce, ketchup, sherry, and spices until well combined. Brush the sauce over the chicken and continue to rotate the chicken on your BBQ grill rotisserie while basting with sauce every 10 minutes. Roast for another hour or until the chicken is tender and cooked completely through. Serve with coleslaw and corn on the cob for a delicious summer meal!
